About the Role
Toku is seeking a Payroll Manager to oversee payroll operations in India and APAC. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing full-cycle local and EOR payrolls, ensuring statutory compliance for global clients while contributing to the transformation of traditional compensation structures worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather and organize payroll data efficiently
- Execute monthly payroll processing for multiple clients
- Verify and reconcile payroll data accurately and timely to ensure compliant and precise employee payments
- Maintain updated records, processes, and procedures
- Proactively troubleshoot and resolve payroll issues from initiation to resolution
- Handle statutory filing needs and stay informed about payroll compliance regulations, especially in India
- Ensure data integrity and precision
- Serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries from internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of payroll management experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Sound knowledge of payroll processing and industry best practices
- Proficiency in software tools like SAP, Excel, or Google Sheets
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and with external vendors
- Strong organizational skills and adaptability to remote agile work environments
- Entrepreneurial mindset or experience in founding companies or developing side projects is a plus
