Description
The Security Site Lead plays a critical role in overseeing the security staff at a specific location to ensure the safety and protection of the premises, employees, and visitors. Reporting directly to the Security Field Supervisor, the Site Lead supervises the team, coordinates personnel, and monitors security equipment. This role involves resolving security incidents and implementing preventive measures to safeguard the organization from theft and maintain order.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the daily activities of security officers, ensuring compliance with policies and performance standards.
- Provide clear guidance to security personnel, fostering a cohesive team environment.
- Conduct regular briefings and debriefings to communicate expectations and updates.
- Ensure efficient security operations while maintaining high safety standards.
- Assist in training and onboarding new security officers and ensure familiarity with site-specific protocols.
- Inspect security camera systems and equipment for proper functionality.
- Review and report on Daily Activity Reports as per standard operating procedures.
- Conduct routine personnel inspections to address any violations and ensure compliance with SOP and Post Orders.
- Coordinate and manage shift schedules to ensure adequate security coverage.
- Conduct security staff openings as needed and submit incident reports as required.
Access Control
- Monitor and control access to facilities, verifying authorized personnel and visitors.
- Verify identification and credentials at entry points.
- Update and utilize systemic access control tools for visitor management.
Surveillance
- Utilize surveillance equipment to monitor and assess activities within and around the premises.
- Report any suspicious behavior or incidents promptly.
Patrol and Inspection
- Regularly patrol the facility to deter security threats.
- Perform routine inspections to mitigate potential security risks.
Emergency Response
- Response promptly to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents.
- Coordinate with emergency services as needed and follow established protocols.
Customer Service
- Offer courteous and professional assistance to all individuals.
- Address inquiries and provide directions when necessary.
Report Writing
- Maintain accurate logs of security activities.
- Complete and submit detailed incident reports.
- Review all incident reports to ensure comprehensive details.
Collaboration
- Work with other security personnel and relevant departments to maintain an effective security program.
- Communicate security concerns clearly with team members and management.
Qualifications
- 2 years of security, law enforcement, or military experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional security training is beneficial.
- Previous experience as a security guard or in a similar role.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Capable of handling emergency situations calmly and effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills for logging and reporting tasks.
- Physical fitness for prolonged standing, walking, and performing security duties.
Additional Requirements
- Possession of a valid State Security Guard License where applicable.
- Hold a valid State Driver's License.
- Preferably an honorable discharge from military service.
- First Aid and CPR certification is advantageous.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Successfully pass a Nationwide Background Check.
