About the Role:
The Senior Finance Analyst will oversee both Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payments and receipts. This role requires strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work autonomously. The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day financial tasks efficiently, fostering seamless financial operations collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable:
- Prepare and issue accurate customer invoices promptly.
- Monitor and chase up on delinquent accounts for timely collections.
- Reconcile customer accounts, resolving any discrepancies.
- Interact with customers to address payment inquiries, disputes, and account status.
- Process and record customer payments accurately in the accounting system.
- Generate AR aging reports for management review.
- Coordinate with sales and customer service teams for invoice accuracy and client issue resolution.
Accounts Payable:
- Review, verify, and process vendor invoices, purchase orders, and expenses for payment.
- Ensure proper coding and approval for all invoices and expenses.
- Manage vendor relationships by addressing payment issues and ensuring timely processing.
- Reconcile AP accounts for accurate tracking of outstanding liabilities.
- Provide regular AP reports to management highlighting any anomalies.
- Maintain organized AP files and records effectively.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure adherence to financial regulations and internal policies.
- Assist in compiling financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Support audits by supplying necessary documentation for AR and AP activities.
- Issue periodic financial reports for management.
- Collaborate with external consultants and auditors for accurate financial reporting and compliance.
Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement enhancements to streamline the efficiency and accuracy of AR and AP functions.
- Assist in automating AR/AP workflows to reduce manual processes.
- Partner with IT and finance teams to address system errors and improve functionalities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience in both accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
- Solid grasp of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficient in accounting software systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record management.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
- Effective communication abilities to collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
